Christmas at Grandma's

As if Santa didn't do enough...
there's always Grandma!
With a flying gizmo for Adam,

a little world for Camille,

and a virtual one for Matthew!
Merry Christmas!

Santa Came!

It's Christmas morning 2007
and the great news is...
he Came...
he Came!
And he brought gifts for everyone...

even Mac!

Getting the Tree

One more year of our annual trip to the Apple Hill area
to choose and cut our Christmas tree,
and one more picture in front of the same little garage
where we've taken it many times before.
This is one of our favorite lots because it belongs
to a sweet little family
that passes out candy canes
and lets you chase their turkeys
around the trees.
Such a fun tradition!
This year Matthew was at his sarcastic best
and provided us with a running commentary
on the selection process.
It seems that it's more comical
than we ever realized.
Here's a brief rundown --
Camille wanted to pick this tree
because it's her favorite color...
and I wanted this tree
because it has two tops
(who else was gonna love it?)...
but we settled for this tree
(which you can't even see in the picture-
how lame are we??)
because it was agreeable to all!

Robotic Foxes

This year Adam participated in the
F.I.R.S.T Lego League Robotic Competition
against about 40 Elementary
and Junior High Schools
from Tahoe to Walnut Creek.
Because his robot was selected as the best design in his group,
he got to be the engineer for his team,
which means he programmed and executed
the entire sequence of challenges
with the assistance of various members of the group.
Even though they were novices,
they did a really great job-
beating out 18 other schools
(despite the fact that they weren't aware of
and didn't receive any points
for 1/2 of the competition!)
GOOOOOO Foxboro!

Happy Halloween

In our house
there are always
three glorious days of
Halloween fun...
First we go on our annual trip to Bishop's Pumpkin farm,
where we take lots of cheesy pictures,

then we carve our pumpkins,

and dress up in our Fabulous costumes for some
trick-or-treating fun.
Camille went as Kirsten
(an American Girl)

while her goofy brothers put on
whatever they could find around the house.
Anything for a boatload of candy!

Dillon Beach

Our annual Ward trip
to Dillon Beach
is one of the highlights
of every summer.
Each year we venture out
on the last week of summer vacation
for a celebration of sand and sea...
and we LOVE it!

Andrew, Dustin, Taylor & Adam dig in the sand,

while Spencer, Jason & Matt play in the waves

and Camille and Rachel take time out for a quick pose.

Hey there good lookin'...

are you interested in any of these bathing beauties?
Someday you will be!
(Camille, Lauren, Bridget, Alloria)

This year's highlight was a giant pit dug in the ground
with an underground tunnel inside.
Hi Adam...

and Matt!

Just before we left
they had a giant cave-in party -
SO much FUN!

Cousins!

It's Family Reunion time--
one of my favorite summer traditions.
This year during talent night
we had an amazing display of belly dancing
by some real beauties.
(thanks Galia!)
And, of course,
there's the ever popular
donut eating contest...
and our favorite winner.
Not to be outdone by his big brother,
Adam takes a shot at it
(and a quite successful
one at that!)
No one's too old to party with this family!
What can I say-
We've got some good looking guys in our gang!
A famous family pose...
that originated with this generation
(We missed you Rob!)
These events always remind me
how lucky I am
to be part of a
big, happy
family!

All-Stars

Another year of All-Stars,
but not as fun as last year.
Amazing the difference a stinky coach makes.
Enough said.

This, however,
was definitely one of the brighter moments...

A Love Affair

Camille is in love...
with Hedgie.
He's their class pet
and a class favorite -
treated like one of the rest of them.
So...
we couldn't dare let him sleep on the floor.
He had his own special bed,
complete with headboard
and yummy quilt.
Goodnight Hedgie!

Good-bye Hanna!

How does a little girl
deal with her best friend moving away?
Not very well...
To ease the blow,
we had one final farewell -
a trip to Build-a-Bear
where they picked out twin bears
and dressed them in tutus and point shoes
to remind them of special times together
and a friendship shared.
Then it was home for Hanna's first sleepover
(where they giggled in wiggled into the night!).
Farewell Hanna! We hope we see you soon!
