Getting the Tree
One more year of our annual trip to the Apple Hill area
to choose and cut our Christmas tree,
and one more picture in front of the same little garage
where we've taken it many times before.
This is one of our favorite lots because it belongs
to a sweet little family
that passes out candy canes
and lets you chase their turkeys
around the trees.
Such a fun tradition!
and provided us with a running commentary
on the selection process.
It seems that it's more comical
than we ever realized.
Here's a brief rundown --
Camille wanted to pick this tree
because it's her favorite color...
because it has two tops
(who else was gonna love it?)...
(which you can't even see in the picture-
how lame are we??)

Robotic Foxes
This year Adam participated in the
F.I.R.S.T Lego League Robotic Competition
against about 40 Elementary
and Junior High Schools
from Tahoe to Walnut Creek.
he got to be the engineer for his team,
which means he programmed and executed
the entire sequence of challenges
with the assistance of various members of the group.
they did a really great job-
beating out 18 other schools
(despite the fact that they weren't aware of
and didn't receive any points
for 1/2 of the competition!)

Happy Halloween
In our house
there are always
three glorious days of
Halloween fun...
First we go on our annual trip to Bishop's Pumpkin farm,
Dillon Beach
Our annual Ward trip
to Dillon Beach
is one of the highlights
of every summer.
Each year we venture out
on the last week of summer vacation
for a celebration of sand and sea...
and we LOVE it!
Happy Birthday Matt & Savannah

there's the ever popular
donut eating contest...

A Love Affair
Good-bye Hanna!
How does a little girl
deal with her best friend moving away?
Not very well...
To ease the blow,
we had one final farewell -
a trip to Build-a-Bear
