Our Little Ballerina

Today was Camille's dance recital -
she looked so beautiful and did such a lovely job!
We love you, little ballerina!
This was also the last chance
to dance with Hanna -
she'll be moving to Vegas soon.
We'll miss you, Hanna!

Fiesta Days Parade

Every year we meet in front of Brother/Bishop/Doctor Carr's office and watch the annual Fiesta Days Parade with our friends. We love being part of a hometown tradition and are so grateful to have good friends to share it with!

Little League Parties

Another year of Little League is over,
finally,
and it was a good one.
The boys' teams both did pretty good,
but more importantly they had really great coaches!
Nice men who knew what they were doing,
cared about the kids
and kept themselves under control.
You can't ask for anything better than that!

Matthew's last year of Majors (with Coach Tony)...

And Adam's last year in the Minors.

I must say that I had my doubts when these two 20 year olds
took over Adam's team.
Even grown men have a hard time coaching
a boatload of 10 year old boys.
But, they were FABULOUS!
The best coaches either of my boys have ever had.
Thanks guys!

Happy Birthday Camille!

This year wasn't a "party year" for Camille, so we had a quiet birthday at home with Grandma and Grandpa with cake and ice cream and lots of presents. Happy Birthday Camille!

Memory Lane

What era is this guy from?

And what about her?

Little reminders from when
Lettie was a pretty young thing,

and our own Dad was a little cowboy.

Easter

Everyone decked out in their Sunday best!
Oh yeah, one of the kids was missing.
We even got a picture with Daddy in it... where's Mom?

One of our favorite shots...
a lovely group picture
before the madness of the hunt begins!
Conner gets in on the action this year.

Adam and the girls search through the bushes...

but Matt has to look a little harder!

Such cuteness--
and this is "Fred"
he lives in the shed
that holds all the shovels
at Grandpa's house.

A Memorial for Mamoo

We'd already done the regular kind of funeral, and after that we went to Cement Hill Park where we had the kind of service Mamoo would have wanted. The one where all her children and grandchildren and their families get together at the park to play, eat, visit, and share memories of her love and goodness to all of us. We love you Mamoo, and we'll miss you!

Snow Day

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon we headed up to the mountains for our annual family snow day. Unfortunately, when we arrived at our destination we learned that they'd reached maximum capacity and were closed! (I told you it was a beautiful day... I guess everyone else thought so too!) Fortunately the parking attended told us about another little sno-park, but unfortunately it was a total dud. But don't fret - we climbed up the hill behind the snow park and found our own little private hill. It was a blast! The boys climbed the mountain again and again, Camille played in the snow with the little ones, the adults sat and visited and Brad spent the day looking for his car keys (which were in his snow pants the whole time). It was a great day!

You're such a cutie, Conner!

Party Time!

Adam has reached the age where he'd rather just take a few friends and go do something fun instead of having a big party. This year we took Todd Worthen, Scott Dye, and Taylor Quain and spent the day at Scandia. They played a couple rounds of miniature golf and then spent their weight in quarters in the arcade. After they'd exhausted all our cash, we headed over to McDonalds for dinner and some childlike fun in the play place. Happy Birthday Adam!
